A'Londa L. Barber

On September 24, 2010 A’Londa Barber had a life - altering spiritual encounter that ultimately changed her life forever. She chronicles the events leading up to the “encounter” through the fictitious character Indigo, whom she introduces her readers in her debut novella,
“Journey of a Sista on the Downlow”
Journey of a Sista on the Downlow is the first in a series of novellas which chronicles Indigo’s colorful life. By sharing her testimony, A’Londa’s goal is to give readers and individuals who are or have been affected by promiscuity and living an alternative lifestyle, proof that there is hope through God. A’Londa’s goal is to also break the cycle of hopelessness which individuals often face; giving them hope that there is a way out.
A’Londa is a proud mother of two sons, works for the federal government and owns a graphic design company, LonnieB Creative Designs. In her spare time she enjoys community outreach, volunteering, tap dance, mentoring and making others laugh. A’Londa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication and is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. Above all else, A’Londa has a heart and desire to live for God and serve others.
